What is the Crownpeak Content Assistant and what are its main functions?
The Content Assistant is an AI-supported tool in Crownpeak's FirstSpirit CMS that supports editors with various text-related tasks. Its main functions include providing content based on prompts, for example a suitable description for a headline. It can also adjust the tone of voice, shorten or expand content, check quality and translate texts to optimise and improve the content creation process.
What specific problems or challenges is the Content Assistant designed to solve?
The Content Assistant is designed to address common challenges faced by content creators, such as maintaining a consistent tone and style across all content, increasing productivity by automating repetitive tasks such as reviewing and editing, ensuring accuracy of translations and generally increasing the efficiency of content management teams.
What are the main technical features of the FirstSpirit tool?
The key technical features of the content assistant are based on OpenAI's ChatGPT 4o API for advanced natural language processing capabilities. It supports predefined prompts that can be customised or refined. This allows users to customise the tone of voice, shorten or expand text, review content and translate into multiple languages if required. The tool integrates seamlessly with Content Creator, FirstSpirit's web-based tool, without impacting performance, ensuring smooth integration into content management teams' workflows.
What are the differences between using the Content Assistant and the free ChatGPT browser version?
There are two reasons: Privacy and ease of use when choosing the Content Assistant over the free browser version. The tool is seamlessly integrated into the Content Creator and is installed immediately (for the cloud version). When using the browser version, editors would not have access to the predefined prompts, which would result in a lower quality standard of content.
The reason for data protection lies in where the information is retrieved. The content wizard uses the API version, which is not used for training purposes of the data sets used in ChatGPT. This is not the case when using the free browser version.
What are the main functions of the Content Assistant and how can they be used in the daily workflow?
The Content Assistant supports editors with text-based tasks.
To give a concrete example: Editors can quickly adapt language to brand guidelines, streamline long content, ensure that translations are correct and maintain high quality standards throughout the content lifecycle, ultimately saving time and improving overall productivity. You can create A/B tests faster than ever before because LLMs have contextual awareness that allows them to respond based on their previous answers.
Are there any specific features that are particularly useful for certain industries or use cases?
The operations that come with the Content Assistant are very generic and intended for a broad audience. However, FirstSpirit developers can create new operations at any time and refine them to suit the customer's use cases.
Future plans include connecting the tool to LLMs outside of ChatGPT. This will allow customers to use LLMs trained on a very narrow data set to tailor the answers to their use cases and industries.
How easy is it to integrate the Content Assistant into existing systems and workflows?
The Content Assistant is included as standard in FirstSpirit from version 2024.02. It can be easily integrated into both cloud and on-premise FirstSpirit installations.
I believe that the Content Assistant will be a welcome addition to editors' daily workflows and will free them up for other tasks.
