We accept our responsibility and make a small contribution to climate and environmental protection

We have entered into a partnership with ClimatePartner and will offset our CO2 emissions, as sustainability and environmental protection are close to our hearts and climate protection concerns us all.

"This is the first step on the way to a sustainable company. More will follow. ", says Nico Rehmann, CEO of asioso GmbH

Climate neutrality

What exactly does it actually mean to be a climate-neutral company?
We are climate-neutral: this means that we offset the CO2 emissions of our company again.

1. Determination of CO2 emissions

ClimatePartner has recorded the relevant CO2 emission sources of our company from 2019. The analysis and annual update of our balance sheet enables us to implement and monitor measures to avoid and reduce CO2 even better in the future.

The values were divided into 3 so-called Scopes:

  • Scope 1: direct emissions such as vehicle fleet and heat
  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from power-bound energy such as electricity and district cooling
  • Scope 3: other indirect emissions such as employee travel, flights, rail travel and office paper

At asioso, the largest item is the arrival of the employees. This big factor has been contained since COVID-19 at the latest, because the employees were forced to stay in the home office. However, the remote working is still mostly maintained and this should remain so in the future. So our results should be significantly better next year, because we now know our factors and can now contain them.

In total asioso has emissions to the value of 85,264.11 kg Co2.

That corresponds:

  • A journey of 264,797 km by car
  • The annual footprint of 10 European citizens
  • The annual Co2 binding of 6,821 books

With this knowledge, we can contain and compensate CO2 emissions even better as follows.

2. Compensation of CO2 emissions through climate protection projects

Climate protection projects save CO2 - for example through reforestation measures or the replacement of climate-damaging technologies. By supporting the Forest Protection, April Salumei, Papua New Guinea project, we offset greenhouse gases. You can find out more about the project here

3. Trace CO2 compensation

We are proud that we have completely offset our CO2 emissions and are making an important contribution to environmental protection. A safety margin of 10% ensures that potential uncertainties that arise during the collection of data are balanced out.

and processing of the underlying data result, for example, from the use of database values or estimates. This ensures that all resulting emissions can be compensated within the system boundaries. The amount of CO2 compensated is 93,790.5 kg CO2.
We have rounded up the approx. 93,000 kg of CO2 once again in order not only to compensate for the emissions, but also to give something positive and to contribute something. Thus we now compensate a total of 116,667 kg CO2

In addition, we think it is important to sensitize every colleague and to live at home what we want to implement in the company and to respect the environment in our private lives. Everyone can pay attention to this and contribute to the preservation of our planet.

The ClimatePartner process with order-related ID number makes climate neutrality transparently traceable. At www.climatepartner.com/14686-2007-1001 you will find the certificate and further information on how much CO2 we have offset and which climate protection project we support, also
