Content marketing is a component of strategic marketing. In contrast to direct marketing or product marketing, this is an indirect way of attracting attention. Content marketing appears as blogs, in social media, as information publications in newspapers etc. This form of advertising is not intended to advertise a company or a product ("best ever"), but to inform the recipient.
The type of information depends on the channel and the recipient; it can be factually informative, consultative or entertaining.
Here too, the aim is acquisition or customer retention.
